Biography
Engr. Saidu Abdullahi, PhD, is a distinguished Civil Engineer, infrastructure development expert, project management professional, and academic with extensive experience in the planning, design, supervision, and execution of civil engineering and construction projects across Nigeria. He combines professional engineering practice with academic excellence, contributing significantly to infrastructure development, engineering education, and capacity building.
He currently serves as a Project Civil Engineer at Urban Shelter Limited, where he oversees the delivery of major construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, quality assurance, and effective project management. He also serves as a Senior Visiting Lecturer at the Air Force Institute of Technology, where he contributes to the training and mentorship of future engineers.
Engr. Abdullahi earned his Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.), Master of Science (M.Sc.), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Civil Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University. His academic journey reflects a strong commitment to engineering research, innovation, and continuous professional development.
Throughout his professional career, he has held several strategic engineering positions in reputable construction and infrastructure firms, including Project Manager, Civil Engineer, Project Site Supervisor, and Assistant Site Supervisor. His experience spans residential and commercial developments, infrastructure construction, project planning, site management, structural supervision, and engineering consultancy.
A registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), Engr. Abdullahi is an active member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and has participated in numerous professional development programmes, engineering conferences, and leadership trainings designed to enhance technical competence, project delivery, and professional excellence.
His professional development includes participation in COREN Assemblies, leadership and performance improvement programmes, engineering technology workshops, and industry training focused on engineering best practices, organizational leadership, and project execution.
